Experience a magnificent multi-day hike between the two most famous summer destinations in the Dolomites: Ortisei and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The route takes you to some of the most impressive highlights in the region: enjoy the spectacular view from the Seceda Alm, hike through the lunar-like landscape of the Puez plateau, and immerse yourself in the history of the First World War on the Lagazuoi and the 5 Torri. Another highlight is the circuit around the majestic Three Peaks, one of the most famous landmarks in the Dolomites.
We stay in cozy hotels that provide relaxation and recuperation after the eventful days of hiking. A special highlight of the tour is the overnight stay at the Toni Demetz Hut at the Langkofel Saddle, where you can enjoy the authentic hut atmosphere in a comfortable 4-bed room.

Day 1: Arrival in Ortisei in Val Gardena - Hotel in Ortisei

Ortisei is the most famous mountain village in the Val Gardena Dolomites in summer. It impresses with its picturesque town center and the warm hospitality of the locals. Getting there is uncomplicated and can easily be done by taxi or public transport from Venice or Munich. Meeting and tour briefing with your guide at 5 p.m. in the hotel.

Day 5: Hiking on the Alta Badia plateau - Hotel in San Cassiano
Ascent: 620m | Descent: 620m | Distance: 12.0km | Time: 4.4 hours

From Corvara we hike up to the Alta Badia plateau. Here we enjoy a fantastic view of the Dolomites between Alta Badia and Cortina. We can also see the Lagazuoi. We spend the night in the hotel in San Cassiano.

Day 4: Over Passo Gardena to Alta Badia - Hotel in Corvara
Ascent: 480m | Descent: 1550m | Distance: 13.3km | Time: 6.0 hours

From the Toni Demetz hut we descend towards Passo Sella. From here we take the bus to the opposite Passo Gardena and start crossing the Puez area. A moon-like landscape awaits us here before we descend via the Edelweiss Valley to Corvara. We spend the night in the hotel in Corvara.

Day 3: From Selva to Forcella Sassolungo - Overnight stay at the Toni-Demetz-Hut
Ascent: 1,050 m | Descent: 185 m | Distance: 8.3 km | Time: 4.0 hours

Early in the morning we set off by bus to Plan de Gralba, where our hike around the Sassolungo - the symbol of the Val Gardena - begins. Passing the steep Dolomite walls and the Sassolungo hut, we reach the Toni Demetz hut at 2,685 m. Here we spend the night in an komfortable 4 bed room and enjoy the breathtaking sunset.

Day 2: To the viewpoint on the Seceda Alm - Hotel in Selva Val Gardena
Ascent: 500m | Descent: 500m | Distance: 9.4km | Time: 3.5 hours

On day 2, the first highlight awaits us, the hike to the famous viewpoint on the Seceda (2,518 m). From here we enjoy the view of the Geisler peaks and the Puez area. The descent is in the direction of Santa Cristina. There are various typical huts to stop for refreshments along the way. We spend the night in the hotel in Selva di Val Gardena

Day 6: Past Lagazuoi and Tofane to Cortina | Hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Ascent: 715m | Descent: 890m | Distance: 12.5km | Time: 5.1 hours

After a short transfer to the Falzarego Pass, we start our hike over the 5 Torri down into the valley to Cortina. Optionally, we can also take the clable car up to the Lagazuoi. We spend the night in a hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Day 7: Hike around the Three Peaks | Hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Ascent: 410m | Descent: 410m | Distance: 9.9km | Time: 3.4 hours

Today we have to get up early. After a transfer to the Auronzo Hut, we start the circuit around the Three Peaks, which takes us past the Three Peaks Hut and the imposing north faces of the peaks. Once we're back at the car park, we drive back to Cortina. Overnight stay in the hotel in Cortina.

Day 8: Continue your journey from Cortina d’Ampezzo

After breakfast you can take the express bus from Cortina to Venice or continue your journey through Italy!
