Riva del Garda smugglers' trail
Magnificent and exposed rocky path on the steep western side of Lake Garda
The smugglers' path is a fantastic via ferrata on the west side of Lake Garda below Riva del Garda. It runs through a huge rock face in a very exposed area. This path used to be kept secret by smugglers.
Nowadays it is climbed by mountain guides with their clients. This tour is not a conventional via ferrata. Only a few passages are secured with a steel cable.
Your experienced mountain guide will secure you with a rope and express slings from the start to the exit.
The tour can be done clockwise or anti-clockwise.
In summer, the smugglers' path is particularly suitable for the afternoon hours, as the wall is in the shade here.

Via ferrata on the Kleine Cir with Raffi. I can't say enough about the whole experience. Raffi is an excellent guide who took the time to make everyone in our group of 6 comfortable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in the Dolomites.
