Ottorino Marangoni via ferrata Monte Albano
One of the first sport climbing routes in the Alps
This via ferrata on Monte Albano near Mori was one of the first sport climbing routes in the Alps, but is currently still considered a relatively difficult via ferrata. It is easily accessible from the A22 motorway, about 20 minutes by car from Arco. The via ferrata is very popular. In the first few passages, your mountain guide will secure you to the rope; safety comes first. This is followed by difficult climbing passages followed by easier walking passages. The more demanding passages on the via ferrata are equipped with steel stirrups. These allow you to overcome relatively difficult passages with a medium level of difficulty.
The path has some very exposed crossings. Your mountain guide can give you tips and tricks on how to overcome such passages with the least possible effort.
Due to its south-facing orientation, this beautiful via ferrata can be climbed with your mountain guide all year round.
The via ferrata is one of the highlights of the via ferratas on Lake Garda.
